Our approach

Community voices
at the heart of our vision.

We believe meaningful change begins with listening to the community. As we develop ARS, we aim to design future activities around community needs and priorities. We intend our advocacy to be guided by Rohingya communities’ experiences and knowledge, connecting community voices with research and practical action to strengthen wellbeing and support a better future.

Who we are

We are a Rohingya-led initiative,
rooted in the refugee camps,
connected across borders.

Arkani Ruáinga Sómaz brings together Rohingya community members from the refugee camps of Cox’s Bazar and the diaspora, alongside researchers and well-wishers who share our commitment to rights, dignity, and wellbeing.

Our roots are in the camps, where students, teachers, and people from different walks of life contribute their knowledge and experience. Across borders, we aim to build connections that strengthen community participation, preserve Rohingya identity, and support our shared aspirations for a safe and dignified return to Arakan.
